There are many many different kinds of meditation. Which one is the best? Which one is right for you? The answer is: the one that you do! The one that you actually set time aside, commit to, and do!
At the Neurosculpting® Institute we practice a meditation technique that combines neuroscience principles with mindfulness and energetic techniques. It’s an empowering combination to know what is going on in your brain and essentially train your brain to regulate stress and create an inner environment, a mental landscape, that supports you as well as create higher states of consciousness.
Another type of meditation can be done with mala beads. Mala beads are a string of 108 beads that can be used in Japa meditation or Mantra meditation. With Japa meditation, the use of a Mantra (a word or a sound) is used to focus the thoughts while quieting the mind. Japa meditation exists in many cultures along with a variety of practice methods. Some practices believe that repeating the mantra 108 times is a key to successful meditation. You can also repeat a mantra, an affirmation, or you could count your breaths as well.
Join us for a unique afternoon where we combine both of these methods together: Mala Making and Meditation. As you create your very own sacred mala, Tamme Buckner will be sharing about Neurosculpting®. She will be guiding 2 separate meditations. The first will include your loose beads. You will then be infusing your beads with your own personal intentions and energy as you create your mala. The second guided meditation will include your completed mala. Not to miss! All materials provided. Pre-registration required.
